72 year old Patrick O'Brien of Old Court Avenue in Bray received a 3 year jail sentence on Monday for abusing his daughter - he was granted bail ahead of an appeal against the sentence.
He walked free from court to appeal his case.
Meanwhile, the daughter of Patrick O'Brien's victim says they have yet to receive any contact from the Taoiseach's office
Enda Kenny told the Dail yesterday that he'd be 'quite willing' to meet Fiona Doyle and hear her view as a victim of how she sees the courts system working.
Ms Doyle's daughter Kristel O'Brien said this morning that the sooner the meeting happens, the better.
The case is up for mention before Mr Justice Paul Carney at the Central Criminal Court today.
