Today
Today will be a blustery and showery day, with some sunshine but also widespread showers merging to give longer spells of rain during the afternoon.
The showers, some heavy with hail and a risk of thunder, will turn increasingly wintry with snow on high ground by evening, particularly in west Ulster.
Afternoon highs will range from just 4 to 6 degrees in the northwest, with 7 to 10 degrees elsewhere.
It will be much colder everywhere by early evening in fresh to strong and gusty southwest winds.

Tonight will be very cold and windy.
Scattered showers will move eastwards across the country and many of these showers will be wintry, bringing a mix of sleet, hail and snow.
Fresh to strong southwesterly winds overnight, with gales along some west and northwest coasts.
Lowest temperatures of -1 to + 2 degrees with frost and a risk of ice.
