Property owners who have not paid their household charge are being advised that the interest and penalties due will rise by €11 on the 1st of October.
This means the total amount due in October will be €127. Anyone who pays by month end will be charged €116.
The Local Government Management Agency says so far over €104million has been raised from one million households that have paid the charge.
Property owners who have not paid the charge are being identified through the likes of the Revenue Commissioners, the Department of Social Protection and ESB networks and a batch of letterswill beissued to them in the coming days.
