Small businesses with less than 50 employees make up over 98% of businesses in Ireland.

One More Job offers those companies tailored training and financial support to help them grow their business by taking on an apprentice.

Any business that creates One More Job through the scheme can access grants – including an annual €2,000 employer for every apprentice employed and a €2,666 gender-based bursary.

The scheme also offers free, expert advice on what apprenticeships can provide the best boost for your business, assistance in becoming an apprenticeship employer, free access to training for in-company mentors and onboarding guidance every step of the way.

Businesses in all sectors can access the programme, with 75 Generation Apprenticeship programmes now available to choose from.

There has never been a better time for your business to develop and thrive by recruiting an apprentice and creating One More Job.

Every apprentice you take on is an opportunity for someone to secure employment and training and build their careers through the ‘earn and learn’ model.

Employers can visit apprenticeship.ie to learn about the supports on offer to any business willing to take on an apprentice through the scheme. You can also email apprenticeship@nao.ie for more information.
