Met Éireann has issued two Status Orange wind warnings for this weekend.
The first will come into force at 6am on Saturday and covers Galway, Mayo, Clare and Kerry.
The second will come into force at noon on Saturday and covers Donegal, Leitrim and Sligo.
The forecaster said Storm Jorge will bring severe winds with average speeds of 65kph to 80kph and gusts of up to 130koh.

It said the gusts may be even stronger in very exposed areas. It is also warning that there is an elevated risk of coastal flooding.
Meanwhile, a Status Yellow wind warning will come into force at 9am on Saturday for Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan, Roscommon, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford.
Met Éireann said Storm Jorge will bring a “band of very strong winds” across the country from Saturday morning right through until Saturday night.
The winds will reach mean speeds of 50kph to 60 kph with gusts of up to 110kph.
