The winners of the Good Governance Awards 2022 in the non-profit sector have been announced by Carmichael.
The company, which provides training and support for non-profits in Ireland, organises the awards to promote “strong governance, accountability and transparency” in the sector.
The awards first began in 2015 and this year 120 non-profits entered; the winners are decided based on an organisation’s annual report and financial statements.
“The Good Governance Awards raise the quality of corporate governance in the non-profit sector by encouraging higher standards of good practice,” Diarmaid Ó Corrbuí, CEO of Carmichael, said.
“Expert feedback is provided to all entrants on how to improve the quality of their annual reports. This helps to ensure our sector is meeting best practice and constantly reforming.”
