The winning ticket for the Euromillions jackpot last Tuesday worth €15 million was sold in the west of Ireland.

The lucky ticket holder contacted Lotto headquarters today, saying they are looking forward to collecting their winnings.

This latest win brings the total won by Euromillions players in Ireland to over €639 million since the game launched here in 2004 - making Ireland one of the luckiest places in Europe to buy a Euromillions ticket.

In less than a year, there have been three Irish Euromillions jackpot wins. Since Ireland joined the game, players in Ireland have hit the jackpot six times.
