While wiling away the hours at office, have you ever just felt like a rat in a wheel?

Well, great news, a new desk takes those nightmares out of your subconscious and turns them into a reality. 

Robb Godshaw, an artist based in California, has created a 2m diameter ‘Hamster wheel Standing Desk’ and published the instructions to its construction online.

The design is actually a satirical take on the growing fad of desk-based exercise equipment, but it does function fully as a walking desk - you can now answer those emails while living with the daily drudgery of 9-to-5, constantly walking, but going nowhere.

The ‘Hamster Wheel Standing Desk’ is made from four sheets of 3/4-inch plywood, 240 screws, four skateboard wheels, two pipes and a pint of wood glue.

It took Godshaw a day to make, but the opportunity to become a real-life New Yorker cartoon is timeless.
