A woman in her 60s has died in a single-vehicle crash in Ratoath, Co Meath overnight.
It happened on the Main Street in the town at roughly 1am.
The woman, who was the only person in the car at the time, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her body has since been removed to the mortuary at Our Lady's Hospital, Navan, where a post-mortem examination will be arranged.
Main Street in Ratoath is currently closed for technical examination by Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.
Gardaí in Meath are appealing for any witnesses to the crash to come forward.
They are particularly interested in anyone with dashcam footage who was driving in the area at the time.
