A woman in her 60s has died following a road collision in Co Cork.
The collision between a car and a truck occurred near Baxters Bridge on the R586 Bandon to Carhoon road at around 12.40pm today.
The woman, who was a passenger in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the car, a man who is understood to also be in his 60s, has been taken to Cork University Hospital.
His condition has been described as serious.
The driver of the truck was uninjured.
The road is currently closed for a technical examination and local diversions are in place.
