A woman in her 20s has been arrested as part of an investigation into an Eastern European gang involved in organised prostitution, brothel-keeping and money laundering.
Gardaí attached to the Organised Prostitution Investigation Unit arrested the woman yesterday after carrying out a number of searches.
The woman is being held under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007 at a Garda Station in Dublin City.

Gardai said their operation aims to “identify victims as well as disrupt, disperse and prosecute persons involved in this type of organised crime”.
