A woman has been arrested in the US state of Alaska, after a shoeless five-year-old child carried her younger sibling half a mile in -35°C conditions.
Authorities were contacted on Tuesday in the village of Venetie after neighbours became concerned.
The five-year-old got scared when the power went out and carried the 18-month-old approximately a half mile to the neighbours, dressed in only socks and light clothing.
