A woman has been arrested in connection with an alleged assault on a man in Dublin yesterday evening.

Gardaí said it happened near the Long Mile Road in Walkinstown at around 6:20pm yesterday.

The man was taken to St. James's Hospital where his condition is described as serious but stable.

The woman was arrested and is being held at a Garda station in the Dublin region.
