A woman in her 40s has been charged in connection with the murder of Dublin mother Lisa Thompson.

Ms Thompson was found dead at her home in Sandyhill Gardens, Ballymun in May.

The 52-year-old mother of two had been stabbed numerous time and may have been dead for several days before she was discovered.

A 37-year-old man has already appeared in court charged with her murder.

This morning, Gardaí investigating the case said they had arrested and charged a woman in her 40s.

She is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice in Dublin at 10:30am.
