A woman has been charged in connection with the death of her partner in Dublin earlier this month.
48-year-old Olesja Hertova, with an address at Hasting Lawns, Balbriggan, this afternoon appeared at Dublin District Court in relation to the death of James Ryan.
Ms Hertova was charged with causing serious harm to James Ryan, a father of four and grandfather.
He died in Beaumont Hospital on August 11th, a day after he was found with head wounds on the street near his home in Balbriggan, north Dublin.
The court heard that Ms Hertova was a carer for Mr Ryan, who had Parkinson's disease and COPD.
The judge was told it is alleged that she pushed him during a row, causing him to fall and fatally fracture his skull.
Ms Hertova was remanded in custody with consent to bail. The case was adjourned until next Wednesday 4th September.
