A woman has been charged with murdering a father of three in Limerick.
Mary Lynch, 41, of Basement Apartment, Upper Cecil Street, Limerick, appeared before Limerick District Court charged with the murder of 65-year-old Patrick Redmond.
Mr Redmond, originally from Dublin, who had been living in Limerick, was stabbed in an apartment at Mount Kennett, in the city, on November 6th, 2013. He died shortly afterwards from his injuries in hospital.
Detective Sergeant Padraic Byrnes, told the court, that when he arrested Ms Lynch yesterday evening and charged her, she replied: "Not guilty".
Ms Lynch was granted free legal aid and remanded in custody to appear before the district court again tomorrow.
