A woman who allegedly spat at a Garda in Dublin and claimed she has the coronavirus has been remanded on bail.
34-year-old Caroline Farrell of St Attracta Road in Cabra appeared at Dublin District Court in connection with the alleged assault on Tuesday evening.
The court heard that the defendant assaulted a guard, engaged in threatening or abusive behaviour and was intoxicated in a public place - on St Attracta Road.
Gardaí said a woman approached a marked squad car on St Attracta Road in Cabra at around 6:20pm yesterday evening and started banging on it and shouting.
The woman spat at a garda who was getting out of the car and said she was waiting on test results for coronavirus.
Ms Farrell was remanded until April 22nd on a number of conditions - including that she not commit any offence and be of good behaviour.
She must also self-isolate in her home and be restricted to a curfew of 4.00pm to 6.00am.
And she must be available to speak to Gardaí on a mobile phone number to be provided within 24 hours.
