A woman has died following a crash between two cars in Donegal last night.
It happened at Carrowkeel, Quigley's Point, Muff at around 11.15pm.
One of the backseat passengers, a woman in her 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her body has been taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for post-mortem examination.
The driver, a woman in her 70s, and a man in his 50s who was in the front passenger seat, were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the other car, a teenage boy, was not injured.
The road at Carrowkeel remains closed for forensic examination.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the crash to come forward.
They are particularly interested in anyone with dashcam footage who was driving in the area at the time.
