A man and woman have died after a hit-and-run incident in Blanchardstown, Dublin.
The incident happened at approximately 5.45pm on Thursday, December 26th and involved a car and four pedestrians.
The driver of the car failed to remain at the scene and has not come forward yet.
A woman in her 30s was pronounced dead at the scene and a male in his 30s was transported to Connolly Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
He has since passed away.
No other injuries have been reported.
A man in his 40s has been arrested in connection with the incident and is currently being held at Garda station in Dublin.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward and speak to them.
Investigations are ongoing.
