A woman has died following a road traffic collision in Co Galway.
Gardaí are investigating the two vehicle incident happened at Two Mile Ditch on the Tuam Road at around midday.
The woman was fatally injured when the car she was driving collided with another car. She was the only person in her vehicle.
The driver and five occupants in the other car - including three children - were taken to Galway University Hospital, where their injuries are described as not life threatening.
The road was closed for a time to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, but has since reopened.
