A woman has died in a house fire in Crumlin in south Dublin.
Gardaí say they are investigating all of the circumstances surrounding the death.
At approximately 9.00pm on Friday, Gardaí and fire services were alerted to a house fire at Stannaway Avenue.
The fire was brought under control and the woman's body was discovered inside the house.
She was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
The scene has been preserved as officers work towards establishing the cause of the fire.
The body is being removed to the Dublin City Mortuary, where a post mortem examination will be carried out by the State Pathologist.
The results of the post mortem, and a technical examination of the scene, will determine the course of the investigation.
