A post-mortem examination will be conducted on the body of a woman found in Mallow in County Cork yesterday morning.

The woman has been named locally as 32 year old Paula Canty.

Her body was discovered when Gardaí were called to her apartment at Bridewell Lane at 10.30am yesterday.

A technical examination is continuing at the apartment this morning.
