A High Court bail hearing has heard a Nigerian woman wanted in France in connection with trafficking women and money laundering has around €30,000 in 3 Irish bank accounts.
Mother-of-3 Trust Egharevba was arrested at Castlecurragh Park in Dublin last week.
She is wanted as part of an investigation into the activities of a criminal organisation involved in international money laundering and human trafficking.
The French authorities believe young Nigerian women were being trafficked into France via Italy for prostitution.
Today at a bail application the High Court heard Gardaí express concerns that the 36-year-old might be a flight risk as she has around €30,0000 in 3 Irish bank accounts and has travelled extensively to Arabic countries, Europe and even to China.
She came to Ireland as a refugee and was recently granted citizenship.
Ms. Justice Maureen Clark has suggested that her bank savings should be frozen and put up as part of her bail bond.
However the matter will not be finalised until later this afternoon.
