A woman in her 30s has died following a crash in Co Louth last night.
The single-vehicle crash happened at around 8:50pm on the N2 at Glebe, between Ardee and Carrickmacross.
The woman was the driver and only occupant of the vehicle which crashed.
She was pronounced dead at the scene, and her body has been taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda where a post-mortem will be carried out.
The road where the crash happened remains closed for a technical examination.
Any witnesses or any drivers with dash-cam footage from the area are now being asked to contact gardaí.
They're also looking to speak to any occupants of a white car travelling from the direction of Carrickmacross towards Ardee at around 8:50pm.
