A woman in her in 70s has died after she was hit by a truck in Dun Laoghaire this morning.
Gardaí said it happened at the junction of George's Street Lower and Convent Lane at around 10am.
Two men in their 30s, the truck driver and passenger, were treated at the scene for injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
The road remains closed this afternoon as Gardaí carry out a forensic examination of the scene. Local diversions are in place.
Investigators are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
They are particularly interested in talking to drivers who were in the area at the time and may have dash-cam footage.
The woman’s remains have been removed to St Columcille's Hospital, Loughlinstown where a post-mortem will take place.
