A woman has died in hospital two weeks after a car crash in Galway city.

Gardaí are renewing their appeal for witnesses after the woman died at University Hospital Galway.

The woman was seriously injured after the car she was travelling in crashed into a wall and then plunged into the water in the Menlo area of Galway City on March 15th.

A man in his 40s who was driving the car was also hospitalised.

They are particularly keen to talk to anyone with any dash cam footage who was driving in the Menlo area of Galway between 6am and 7am on March 15th.
