Gardaí have released a woman they were questioning about the murder of a girl (11) in Co. Offaly.

Emily Barut was found dead at her home on Bachelors Walk in Tullamore on the 15th of September 2012.

A woman in her fifties was arrested yesterday morning under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

She was released from Tullamore Garda station last night without charge, and a file is to be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Emily had cerebal palsy and was in a wheelchair.
