Police in the north have been left baffled after a woman called them to complain that her drug dealer sold her sugar instead of cocaine.

In a post on Facebook, Craigavon PSNI said it “shouldn't surprise anyone that drug dealers are scammers.”

They said the woman was out £200 over the scam – adding that “bizarrely” she had declined to make a statement.

“We've said it before and we'll say it again – drug dealers care about nothing other than lining their own pockets,” said the PSNI post.
