Hundreds of people have attended the funeral of 49-year-old mother of two Valerie Greaney, who died in Co Cork last Sunday.

Her husband, Michael, who took his own life after killing stabbing his wife to death at the family home in Cobh, will be buried tomorrow.

The couple's eldest daughter Michelle - who was also injured in the incident - was at the funeral with her sister.

She was accompanied by two nurses from Cork University Hospital.

TV3 reporter Paul Byrne was at the funeral today, and says Michelle was comforted by family and friends at the church:

Fr Patrick O'Donoghue told the congregation its important not to rush to judgement.
