Gardaí are investigating after the body of a woman was found in Cork.
The discovery was made at a house on Clifden Terrace on Summer Hill North at around 9:30pm last night.
The dead woman is thought to have been in her early 40s.
Her body was found when emergency services were called to the house which is located in a terraced row just off Summerhill north.
It is believed the woman was found at the bottom of the stairs.
Her body remains at the scene which is due to examined by forensic experts later this morning.
A post mortem is to be carried out to establish how she died but Gardaí say no arrests have been made.
