Gardaí are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a woman’s body in Kilglass, Co Roscommon. 

According to Gardaí, the woman in her 30s was found dead at approximately 9am yesterday, Saturday May 27th.  

Gardaí say she died in “unexplained circumstances”. The body has been moved to University Hospital Galway for a post-mortem examination, which will decide the course of the investigation. 

The scene at Kilglass is currently preserved for a technical examination. Investigations are ongoing.  

Gardaí said no further details were available at this time.
