Gardai are appealing for information after the body of a woman was found in a river in Limerick.
The woman is believed to be in her late 40s. She was found by a man walking his dog at around 9:30am this morning near Donnelan's Field in Kileely.
It is believed the woman was found semi-naked and face down in the water.
The State Pathologist has been notified and a post mortem will be carried out at University Hospital Limerick. A large area near the scene remains sealed off as a garda forensic examination continues.
Inspector Brian Sugrue of Mayorstone Garda Station has appealed for information.
