The body of a woman in her 30s was found at a home on Bridewell Lane in Mallow, County Cork this morning, Gardaí have confirmed.
Assistant State Pathologist Dr Margot Bolster has attended the scene and the Garda Technical Bureau will also carry out an inspection.
The woman’s body will be taken to Cork University Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Gardaí have asked for any witnesses to contact them and they are particularly interested to talk to anyone with dashcam footage.
