An investigation has been launched after a woman's body was discovered in Co Limerick.

Her body was discovered on Monday at around 5.10pm at a house in Templegreen in Newcastle West.

The woman is believed to have been aged in her 50s.

Her body remains at the scene.

The Office of the State Pathologist has been notified.

Gardaí say a post mortem will determine the course of their enquiries.
