Gardai are investigating the discovery of woman's body in Waterford city this evening.

The body of the woman in her 60's was discovered by the Fire Brigade at approximately 6pm at a house at Killure Grove, St John's Park, Waterford City.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and was taken to Waterford General Hospital where a Post Mortem will take place tomorrow afternoon.

The area has been sealed off for a technical examination.
