In England, the inquest opens today into the death of soldier Lee Rigby.
The 25 year old soldier was killed last week close to his barracks at Woolwich in south London.
A post mortem has confirmed he died from multiple stab wounds.
A 22 year old man has been charged with murder - a second suspect is still being treated in hospital, after being shot by police.
A short hearing will take place at Southwark Coroner's Court to officially open the inquest into his death.
This afternoon, religious leaders in Woolwich will gather at the Greenwich Islamic Centre after Friday prayers in an attempt to encourage peace in the community.
Drummer Rigby's violent death caused shock across the country, and particularly in Woolwich where the barracks are an integral part of the town.
Woolwich Barracks commander Lieutenant Colonel Bob Christopher said the Army had made a home in Woolwich for almost 300 years and Drummer Rigby was proud to live and work in this community, as were all the soldiers based there.
"The best tribute we can pay him is to not allow this awful crime to separate the military family in Woolwich from the fantastic support we have received, are currently receiving and know that we will continue to receive from our friends and neighbours across the borough."
On Thursday, Michael Adebowale, 22, from Greenwich, appeared in court charged with the soldier's murder. He is due to appear again at the Old Bailey on Monday.
A second man, Michael Adebolajo, who was arrested on suspicion of the killing, remains in hospital after being shot by police.
The Queen, who expressed concern at the killing last week, is due to go to the barracks later today in a visit organised before the attack.
