A status Yellow cold weather and ice warning has been issued for the entire country as Met Éireann warn of a freezing week ahead.
The weather warning is currently scheduled from 7pm this evening to 11am tomorrow morning across the country.
Met Éireann has warned people to be wary of ice patches in the morning, particularly for those driving.
In Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo specifically, Met Éireann has warned sleet and snow showers are expected in some places.
A status Yellow snow and ice warning has also been issued for Donegal from 6pm on Monday to 11am on Tuesday.
Met Éireann has also warned “arctic air will bring winter hazards this coming week”.
It said “sharp to severe frost” is expected with stretches on ice on roads and pavements.

Meteorologist Deirdre Lowe said there will likely be “wintery flurries” and ice in parts of the north and north-west overnight.
“There’s already been a little dusting of snow in Donegal,” she said.
“As the week goes on it’s going to get even colder, particularly Tuesday night, Wednesday night and Tuesday night.
“We're going to have temperatures as low as minus four degrees.”
According to the Government’s ‘Be Winter Ready’ guide, people are advised to “keep warn, eat well and avoid unnecessary travel" in snow and ice conditions.
