The Status Yellow alert for Leinster, Cavan and Monaghan is in effect until 3 o'clock this afternoon.
There was torrential rain overnight, leading to flooding on some roads.

Some thundery downpours are still likely.
Joanna Donnelly, a meteorologist with Met Eireann, says the worst of the rainfall is clearing:
Up to 40 millimetres fell in parts of Dublin, Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, Cork and Waterford overnight.
