More than 12,000 people showed up to Dublin's Herbert Park this weekend for the Big Grill Festival, which got off to a flying start in its debut year.

Featuring cooking demos, eating competitions, live music, familiar faces and family activities – not to mention craft beers and a super selection of food from some of the capital's most popular restaurants – the gathering already looks set to become a new staple of the city's festival calendar.
