A young boy has died after he was attacked by two dogs at his home in Tallaght yesterday.

The eight-year-old was taken to Tallaght Hospital with serious injuries after he was attacked by the rottweilers at around 4pm yesterday.

He was then moved to Crumlin Children’s Hospital; however, he passed away this morning.

Earlier, Gardaí said full investigation was underway.

The dog warden has been notified and the dogs have been put down.
