A man in his 20s has died in hospital following a road crash on Sunday morning.

The man was travelling in a van which crashed on a local road in Kilurly.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene at approximately 2am.

The driver was seriously injured and taken to University Hostpital Kerry, where he died.

The van had two other occupants who were assessed at the scene but did not require hospitalisation.

Gardaí are appealing to any witnesses to the single car collision to come forward.

They are also urging any road users with dash cam footage from the area at the time of the crash to contact Gardaí.
