A man in his early twenties has died in a swimming tragedy in County Waterford.
The 21-year-old man was swimming with four other people at Whiting Bay in Ardmore when they got into difficulty around 1.30pm yesterday afternoon.
Gardaí and emergency services were called to the scene soon after.

The Coast Guard rescued three people from the water. The other two swimmers made their own way out of the water.
The young man was brought by air ambulance to Cork University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
No one else was injured.
Gardaí said a file will be prepared for the coroner.
