A young man has died in a car crash in County Meath, Gardaí have confirmed. 

At 2.20 this morning, emergency services were called out to a single vehicle crash at Boolies, near the town of Oldcastle. 

The only person in the car, a man in his 20s, was pronounced dead shortly after their arrival. 

The road has been closed ahead of an inspection by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. 

Local diversions have been put in place and Gardaí have asked for any witness to contact Kells Garda Station.
