Ukraine's President appears to have offered an olive branch to Donald Trump.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called last week's heated exchange with the US President at the White House “regrettable” - and insists he's ready to come to the negotiating table.
It follows a decision by the US to pause military support for Kyiv.
The Kremlin has said it welcomes the decision in the push for peace.

However, people in Moscow seem unsure.
“Trump is a politician who plays to the crowd,” one mas said.
“America is a colourful candy wrapper - the country of performance and show.”
A Russian woman said that all steps towards stopping the deaths of “our guys” are “certainly right”.
“It should end sooner than later,” she said. “How many children are left orphans is terrible.”
I would like to reiterate Ukraine’s commitment to peace.
None of us wants an endless war. Ukraine is ready to come to the negotiating table as soon as possible to bring lasting peace closer. Nobody wants peace more than Ukrainians. My team and I stand ready to work under…

The Business Post’s US Correspondent Marion McKeown said Ukraine has enough military aid from America to keep fighting until May.
She said there has been many different figures being given about how much aid has been given.
“This nonsense that [Trump is] saying that the US gave Ukraine $350 billion then he said 500 billion - it's just not true,” Ms McKeown said.
“There are two different metrics which have been use - the Kiel Institute in Germany says it's about $120 billion in total [and] the Pentagon is saying it's about $184 billion in total.”

President Zelenskyy posted online earlier today saying his country wants peace and is ready to work under President Trump's "strong leadership”.
He also reiterated how much America has helped his nation maintain its sovereignty and independence.
Kyiv's leader said Ukrainians want peace more than anyone else, suggesting a truce on air strikes and naval attacks as a first step.
