Priory Hall residents have paid tribute to Dublin City Council's Chief fire officer, who assured them he would deal with the deficiencies of their homes - but they say the last two years has caused them to lose trust in the government.
It's after striking a deal during a meeting with the Taoiseach Enda Kenny yesterday evening - who described the residents as the victims of one of the "worst excesses of the Celtic Tiger era".
Under the scheme, owner-occupiers will see the apartments transferred to Dublin City Council with residents given pre-approval to buy new homes.
