Government promises are to be found all across today’s papers, with talks of free GP care for under 18s and a property tax freeze making the front pages.

The Irish Times leads with “No scope for bigger tax cuts in budget, Noonan warns Cabinet”, and news that ‘Homeowners assured property tax will be frozen in 2017’.

The Irish Independent also goes with the property tax story, with the headline: “The middle class buy-off: property tax to be frozen.”

While the Irish Examiner leads with “Reilly pledges generous plan for childcare”.

The front page of the Indo has a particularly jovial looking Joan Burton and Enda Kenny, chuckling in tandem at Lissadell House, Co Sligo, yesterday. “Comedy gold from our leaders there,” Ivan said, perhaps not in total sincerity.

Inside the papers Chris spotted a story about an incoming tourist influx to Dublin as four cruise ships dock in the capital today, bringing with them 10,000 tourists.

Ivan was looking at stories on the HSE trying to attract nurses back and a sexism row in the GAA over the Poc Fada competition.
