Unemployment decreased by 43,300 in the year to the second quarter - bringing the total number of unemployed people here to 211,200.

The CSO says the labour market is now at its largest size since 2009.

Meanwhile, new figures also show an increase in the number of immigrants moving to Ireland.

The CSO says 69,300 people came here in the 12 months to the end of April 2015 - up more than 8,500 on the previous year.

The data has also recorded a slight drop in emigration.

So what does this all mean? Conall Mac Coille is chief economist with Davy Stockbrokers.

He told Newstalk Breakfast this is all good news - not just for the capital.
