The housing crisis in Ireland is causing women fleeing domestic violence to return to or stay with abusive partners.
Due to the shortage of housing, women are being moved into homeless shelters – instead of into suitable private accommodation.
As a result, some women are returning to their abuser because homeless shelters are often dangerous and unsuitable.
Shona Murray has been speaking to some women currently seeking private accommodation, while fearing for their safety. She spoke to Newstalk Breakfast this morning:
