Three Councils are set to vote today on whether a plebiscite should be held on the issue of a directly elected Dublin mayor.
If any of the three councils of Fingal, Dublin South or Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown vote ‘no’ today then the matter will be vetoed, if they vote ‘yes’ we could see a plebiscite put to the people.
Kieran Dennison, Fine Gael Mayor of Fingal, discussed tonight's votes on Newstalk Breakfast.
