Residents in Dublin's East Wall have reportedly put posters up warning locals that a convicted rapist collects his dole in the area.
It is claimed the man (31) is now living nearby after serving 12 years of a 17 year prison sentence.
Statistics from the most recent report on recidivism from the Irish Prison Service show sex offenders have a re-conviction rate of 31% and locals say they are worried.
This year alone, 99 sex offenders will be released from prison and 5% will re-offend in three years.
